Sorry to be the bearer of bad news everyone, but it's just four days before we're in the land of penalty shoot-outs.... that's it, they're crap, I hate them.
See below, and HERE, for the standings after the first two matchday games. Four players lead the way on 19 points, with one player propping up the table with 11. The players in green are those that would proceed if we stopped now. I'm expecting the score required to proceed to the knockout stages to be 23 or 24 and above, but anything can happen as teams fight for survival and honour. Even I, with my new found spreadsheet skills (not something I thought I'd ever thought I'd be saying in my line of work), can't keep up with the myriad permutations that will give us the final 16 teams to proceed to the knockout stages. So sit back, work out if you can get both daytime games up on your computer at the same time and continue to wonder if Wales can score 4 goals, Belgium can really be that bad and Brazil, France, Spain can continue to look that good.....? (Other teams are available to fret over, take your pick) Fact 1 - Players average score for matchday 1 games - 9. Matchday 2 - 6.5. So we're getting significantly worse at this. Fact 2 - There's some cracking games coming up this week. Fact 3 - COME ON ENGLAND!!! Comments are closed.
