The inevitable has happened and Liverpool have walked it alone to their first league title win in 30 years. Well done to Klopp and the Gang, that was an outstanding season.
Now it's just the matter of us getting to the finishing line for our, ultimately, more important AFT competition. Anna could be £1185 better off come Wednesday evening having gone it alone with Chelsea. Whilst Des and Poppy will have to wait another week if the results go their way. Good luck to all of you and if you've got a spare minute, please find the petition I saw the other day that they should add a laughing option to the background sounds they're playing at games..... I'm not mentioning which games it should be played at but I'm sure you've all got your favourites for that. Cheers and have a good few weekend. And then there were 3.
Leicester decided to socially distance themselves from Brighton's goal, meaning both Danny and Marc W drop out within (1m) touching distance of the prize. Sorry gents, at least the sun's shining.... that's not helping is it. Could the Premier League champions be crowned at the same time as someone wins the £1185 mega-pot in this coming set of games? We'll have to wait until next Thursday to see if Liverpool can become the new champions but we'll know by Saturday morning what the next picks are for the remaining players. Predictions in by Friday bedtime please. Have a good week everyone, make sure you put lots of sun cream on and, please, what ever you do, avoid Durdle Door. We don't see each other for months and now you can't get rid of me...... sorry about that.
We're straight into week 31 with the predictions for what is week 6 of this pool. In what would be quite a poetic finish for our mega-rollover game, one or more of the remaining players could win the pot, just as Liverpool win the league. This means they could then take their winnings and go out and spend it at the newly reopened.... *checks notes..... Wetherspoons...... Sigh! Predictions can be seen below and I'll be back on Wednesday night with the results. Good luck all. Well that was all a bit odd wasn't it, some strange crowd noise in the background (I'm allowed to be critical, it's my job) and players running around not quite sure what to do when they've scored.
Anyway, it's all back on and moving froward so that's a start. Sadly, Marc P, after the long Covid wait, is our own player to drop out with Arsenal's 2nd defeat in 4 days..... some teams are going to wish the season had never restarted. That leaves 5 players to go through to week 31, click HERE to make that next prediction ...... IMMEDIATELY..... if not sooner, literally, you have less than 24 hours in fact. I'll be back again as soon as everyone's made their picks. After exactly 100 days, we're back to finish the season that nearly never was.
Excited? Me? No!!! I'm a QPR fan, I don't give a hoot. The games tonight aren't part of this weeks schedule but I thought I'd get in on the day we resume as a symbolic gesture to normality (?) returning. It also means that those that have gone for Arsenal and Man City this week, aren't talking about tonights game...... in case you thought Marc P had gone a bit .... odd. We've got 92 games to get through in 40 days, so it's going to feel a bit like the Euro's, with games almost every day and you'll be constantly checking the papers to see which channel they're on and whether it's free-to-air or not. Our 6 remaining players are all hoping to pick up the £1185 pot but as we've crossed the £1k threshold, the pot has to be won, so it will be split between whichever of you gets the furthest. Despite the break, all of you have made the same predictions as before we ground to a halt back in March, so somethings obviously haven't changed ...... And we've still got VAR, so there's that to look forward to as well. I'll be back on Monday night after the Man City v Burnley game with the results, good luck everyone. |
