Firstly, it seems some people didn't get the 'predictions' email on Friday night. Sorry about that, not sure what happened. I'll get the IT department (12yo daughter) to look into it, once she's stopped dancing around to TikTok.
And once again, those of you that picked Man Utd have a frustrating afternoon, questioning your own decisions.....and their ability to take penalties. You're not the first and you definitely won't be the last. Other than that, Leicester (Vardy's own goal), Liverpool (?) and Watford's (shrugs) draws mean we lose nine players as we head towards the 6th week of this pool. For those of you that made it through, well done. Click HERE to make that next prediction before 6pm on Friday.... reminders will be forthcoming. Saturday Fact - Aston Villa haven't beaten Man U since 2009. Busy busy, so I'll make this quick.
We have 28 players going in to the weekend with Everton (18) being the top pick and only Buster (Liverpool) and Kevin (Watford.... yes, I checked, that's what he said) can win the pot. Not meaning to worry those of you that picked Everton, but Norwich's terrible start to the season will come to an end at some point.... just saying'. All games are on Saturday, so I'll be back tomorrow night with the results. Well played Jimmy!!!
23 of us crash out this weekend, because all of sudden Man City can't win, Wolves were always debatable and Leeds and Leicester... well, who knows? That leaves 27 of you to go through to next week. As usual, you have until 6pm on Friday to get your next predictions in. Sunday Fact - Jimmy is still Spurs leading goalscorer. With the whole of Friday ahead of us, this should keep you busy for at least a couple of minutes.
Fifty of us head into week four of this pool, which after last seasons performances isn't too bad. Don't take that personally, we're all surprisingly rubbish at this to be fair. After the mid-week European games Liverpool (25) are the top pick going into this weekend, with Man City picking up 12 'likes'. Four players have gone it alone this weekend. Jeanette (Chelsea), Buster (Man Utd), Fred (Everton) and Alexis Per' (Leeds) could each win the pot if the results go their way..... but they won't... sorry about that. Friday Fact - Have a coffee, go to work... or school... or back to bed. An interesting weekend.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the only player to score in the first half in any of the PL 3pm Saturday kick-offs. Arsenal scored their first of the season. And Tottenham let in three, having kept clean sheets in their previous three games. Strange days. All this is just stats though. It boils down to the fact that we lost four out of the 54 of us that started the weekend, which isn't bad going. Sorry to see you go and well done to those that made it through. A quick turnaround this week as Leeds are at Newcastle on Friday night, so all predictions need to be in by bedtime on Thursday - PLEASE!!! Monday Fact - Aaron Ramsdale is the first English goalkeeper to appear for Arsenal in the Premier League since David Seaman in May 2003. |
