It was like June out there today! Thoughts of beer gardens are beginning to creep into our heads...... Stop it... not yet. Maybe for the Euro's?
Our 16 remaining players had the tricky task of predicting from 17 games this week, although 2 of you went for Everton to beat Southampton and not WBA, which seems a little odd........ but who am I to argue? Liverpool to beat Sheffield Utd is the top pick, with only me and Stel able to win the pot, both having gone it alone with our picks. Good luck to all of us! I'll be back on Thursday night after the West Brom v Everton game with the results, Have a sunny weekend..... and yes, I have put some of the teams the wrong way round........ but I don't care. If you didn't pick a team from Manchester this weekend, well, I'm sure you wished you had.
Jack, Jacques, James, Jens and Justin (trips off the tongue doesn't it... could be a new boy band?), join the rest of you hoping for a double rollover. Leaving 16 of us to go through to week 4 of this pool. The upcoming week has an amazing 17 games being played. So please, after you've made your prediction, fill in the box below your choice, stating which game..... or you can just email me. Have a good week, enjoy the European games..... and if you're anything like me, try to suppress your joy that the kids might be going back to school soon. Out of the 21 of us that are left in for this third week, only Jack, Jacques and Justin are in with a chance of winning the rollover pot, having gone it alone with their picks..... But it would mean that Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea would all have to have a nightmare.... which given recent results is entirely possible.
Three of you have gone for Man City..... to beat Arsenal...... on a Sunday afternoon...... that'll make the many (many) gooners here furious..... or laugh? I'll be back after the Brighton v Palace game on Monday with the results. Friday Fact - Bruno Fernandes has been involved in 52 goals in 58 games in all competitions for Man Utd (33 goals, 19 assists), 10 more than any other Premier League player since his debut in Feb 2020. It's been bought to my attention that some of you, specifically those that chose teams from the North West this weekend, are now calling this game 'AFFT'.... All I can say is it's your own fault for joining in, no one said it was going to be fun. Painful, yes, fun, no!
For the 21 of us that picked London teams, we all go through to next week and you can make your prediction HERE. There's a game on Friday night, so all pics in by bedtime on Thursday please. Shout if you're going for Leeds or Southampton, as they're both playing twice. Have a good week. Evening
We have 48 players left in for the 2nd week of this pool, with Man Utd (18) being the most popular pick and West Ham (10) second. Nine of you have gone for Everton, who will be exhausted after their mid-week 9 goal thriller..... just sayin'. Have a good weekend. I'll be back after the Chelsea game on Monday with the results, when the temperature will hopefully be back above freezing. Friday Fact - Man Utd are the number one team away from home this season. They have not been beaten (W8 D3) and have scored the most away goals. |
